Education of the Horror Kids, Part 2

I just helped my four year old draw and color a picture of a bald headed zombie, adorned in tattered, bloodstained clothing, with bloodshot eyes, menacing teeth and a bloodsmeared mouth.

Is that so wrong?

It's never too early to teach the kiddies the whys and wherefores of zombies so they can be fully prepared in case of an attack. I would totally hang that picture on my fridge with pride. Go Julian!

One great thing about being an artist, my nieces are always harassing me to draw things for them to color...ever since I used to delight them with my animal drawings when they were toddlers. Then it was princesses and unicorns, and now we have graduated to evil demented vampire type creatures with bloody fangs and long Freddy Krueger fingernails. My brother complains that I will be causing them to have nightmares, but THEY are the ones directing ME what to draw. Actually, I am thrilled and want to encourage their interest in the macabre. I can't wait till they are old enough form really scary movies, so I can introduce them to all of my old favorites...and someone has to inherit all my ghost story anthologies and books on the supernatural.
